Parenting Now!

Course #24765

The Douglas County Early Childhood Planning Coalition presents a free 7 week parenting education class for parents of children ages birth to 8 years of age. The class will help parents build positive, enjoyable and healthy relationships with their children, creating a solid, lifelong foundation as a family.  Sessions include skill enhancing topics in effective communication and interaction, realistic expectations, preventative discipline strategies, stress management, and family values. The relationship created between parents and children during the earliest years of life has a profound impact on later growth and development, self-esteem, school performance and life achievements. Come share your parenting experiences, increase your knowledge of early childhood development, and learn about community resources to help create a support network.

Dinner will be served.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the 7 week program.
