Nurturing Parenting for

Teen Parents

The Douglas County Early Childhood Planning Coalition presents a free 10 week parenting education series focusing on nurturing parenting strategies for teen parents. This course is designed for teen parents and their families and covers discussions on developing nurturing parenting routines, understanding ages and stages of child development, learning how to use infant and child massage, finding ways to have fun with your child, managing stress and anger, building your child's self esteem and self concept, and developing good communicaiton skills. Teen parents will learn ways to foster their baby's development by providing stimulation, appropriate developmental opportunities, and nurturing relationships.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the 10 week program. 

Dinner will be served.
