Nurturing Parenting

 

The Douglas County Early Childhood Planning Coalition presents a free 10 week parent education series focusing on nurturing and effective parenting strategies. This course is designed for parents of children birth to 8 years of age and covers discussions on appropriate expectations of children, establishing routines and family rules, helping your child manage their feelings and behaviors, avoiding power struggles, positive discipline methods, understanding and managing stress, and keeping your child safe. Parents of young children will learn ways to foster their child\'s development by providing stimulation, appropriate developmental opportunities, and nurturing relationships. Childcare is available at no cost; call Michele at 440-7651 to make a reservation.

Participants will receive a certificate of completion at the end of the 10 week program.
